Traveller Pride Awards 2026

Nominations are now officially open for the Traveller Pride Awards 2026, celebrating the achievements, leadership, and contributions of Travellers and allies across Ireland.

The Traveller Pride Awards recognise individuals, groups, and organisations who are making a meaningful impact in their communities, whether through leadership, education, creativity, enterprise, or advocacy.

Organisers are calling on members of the public, community organisations, and stakeholders to submit nominations and help shine a light on the positive contributions and successes within the Traveller community.

Award categories include:

• Education

• Enterprise and Innovation

• Music, Arts or Culture

• Sport

• Intersectionality

• Community

• Youth (12-18 years)

• Youth (19-25 years)

Speaking about the awards, organisers highlighted the importance of recognising excellence and amplifying positive stories:
"The Traveller Pride Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of Travellers across Ireland. We encourage people to nominate individuals and groups whose work deserves recognition and visibility."

Nominations are open to individuals, community groups, projects, and organisations across Ireland. Submissions are welcomed from both within and outside the Traveller community.
