What’s going on near you?
Local events are at the heart of Traveller Pride Week, creating opportunities for communities across the country to come together in celebration of Traveller culture, identity, history, and contribution. These events play an important role in promoting inclusion, visibility, and understanding, while providing spaces where Traveller voices, traditions, music, art, and stories can be shared and celebrated with pride.
Traveller Pride Week is also an opportunity to challenge the misconceptions and stereotypes that continue to exist around the Traveller community. By attending local events, members of the wider public can learn more about Traveller culture firsthand, engage with local communities, and show solidarity in supporting equality, respect, and inclusion.
We encourage everyone to attend their local Traveller Pride Week events and join in celebrating the richness and diversity of Traveller culture across Ireland
